As they move forward with new technology and processes, we're looking for a proactive and skilled financial accountant to join our team and contribute to an exciting period of growth and transformation.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the main responsibilities of this financial accountant role include:
Key Responsibilities: Clean up the current finance system to ensure smooth transition as we implement a new system. Conduct a comprehensive review of all balance sheets in preparation for the audit, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate. Reconcile and balance fixed assets to maintain accurate records. Review debtors and creditors to ensure proper accounting and timely resolution. Assist with business improvements and align with the strategic goals of the Finance & Tech team. Support the Finance Manager with month-end activities, including preparation of monthly reports. Help with the reconciliation and business process improvement of payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance. Complete finance procedures in line with company policies and standards. Take on ad hoc tasks as needed to support the finance function.
Ideal Candidate: Proven experience as a financial accountant in the aged care sector. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving ability. Ability to collaborate and support other departments for continuous improvement.
