About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic senior business analyst to join our people technology team and play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights. This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a keen analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities. As a senior business analyst, you will be instrumental in prioritizing projects, managing the demand process, and delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and user experience. Additionally, you will help shape HR technology strategies, working to improve employee services within our university community. 

Your contributions will enhance the overall employee experience, drive operational efficiency, and ensure the success of key HR initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include: coordinating with IT and HR teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements. Partner with the People Technology and People and Culture Business Improvement teams to evaluate and refine processes, procedures, and work instructions. Analyze and enhance HR systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions. Lead data analysis and reporting efforts to facilitate smooth transitions and continuous improvement. Design and implement strategies that align with our People Operations goals to enhance the employee experience.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Manage multiple projects, balancing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Who we are looking for: Proven experience as a Senor Business Analyst, ideally in an HR, People Operations, or payroll environment with a background in project management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights. Experience with HR systems and process optimization. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented mindset.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and all organizational levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Role Requirements: As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role. This is a full-time position; however, 0.8 FTE may be considered for the right candidate.
