Tax Complaince Administrator, Kenilworth, Southern Suburbs. A longstanding Accounting firm based in Kenilworth, Cape Town has an opportunity for an experienced Tax Compliance Administrator to join their team.
Responsibility: Requesting information, accurately calculating, completing, and understanding client income tax returns in respect of the following: IT12 (Individual) IT14 and IT14SD (Company) IT12 (Trust) IT12EI (Exempt institutions). Preparation and submission of supporting documents as per SARS requirements. Download, capturing and checking of assessments and preparation of letters. Resolving queries from SARS and clients regarding all tax matters. Accurately preparing, calculating and submission of IRP6 provisional tax returns in respect of the first, second and third periods for all year ends.
Correspondence sent to clients and submission of provisional returns to SARS. Preparation and attending to various tax payments on behalf of clients. Meeting and liaising with clients regarding tax matters when necessary. Register new clients and maintain client data base on efiling. Assisting Audit department with tax information. Send clients correspondence regarding tax deadlines.
Attending to engagement letter and special power of attorneys required for tax work to be done Preparation and completion of turnover tax returns. Attending to deregistration of Income tax. Application for Tax Clearance Certificates in respect of good standing, tenders, immigration and foreign investments. Application for all Tax Directives which includes preparation of estimated income and expenses statements. Meeting with SARS tax practitioner’s unit to resolve client queries urgent.
Tax billings – preparing of Pro Forma tax invoice based on clients work in the progress report and meeting with Director to discuss and approve. Checking of tax computations for companies and exempt institutions. Preparation and completion of tax exemption application forms request supporting documents, submission to the SARS Tax exemption unit. Dealing with SARS monitoring office in respect of tax-related issues with SARS.
Dealing with SARS Large Business Centre with regards to various queries. Preparation of ADRs, notice of objections, disputes to penalty assessments, a notice of appeals in respect of Income-tax, administrative penalties. Calculation of Capital Gains including time apportionment method.
Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in an auditing/accounting firm environment is essential. Computer literate in Tax software, preferably Greatsoft, and Ms. Excel & MS Word. Highly presentable and confident. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Exceptional analytical skills with a passion for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. The ability to work independently as well as within a team. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Has outstanding time management skills. Has strong administration skills and a good understanding of organizational processes and practices. Salary: R18-22000.
