Accounts Administrator, Retreat, Southern Suburbs. Company Name: Smilers Selection CC. The Head Office of long established, Take-Away Outlets in Retreat, Cape Town offers secure opportunity to a mature, highly organised Accounts Administrator to join their closeknit team.
Responsibility: Resolving any client / supplier queries. Keeping records of outstanding payments, over payments & payments due. Doing the weekly PAYE breakdown for the Accountant. Preparing monthly Vat documents for the Accountant. Attending to any queries from the Accountant. Attending meetings relating to the food outlets & the properties, including meetings with the Accountant.
Doing all staff wages on a weekly basis. Keeping records of staff wages, printing wage slips and doing wage pay outs at each store to finalize the wages. Doing Z-readings at every store, and monitoring the shorts & overs on the tills. Doing Stock taking at each branch. All administrative work relating to price changes, menu boards & advertising. Outsourcing better prices on products or services needed by the take aways/restaurants. Assisting the restaurants with any repairs and maintenance issues. Assisting the administration with any staff issues within the stores. Keeping records relating to the company vehicles, keeping a check on services & booking in the vehicles when necessary. Making arrangements for repairs to the vehicles.
Liaising with tenants at various properties. Preparing and sending accounts / statements at month end. Typing correspondence. Drafting & Typing any correspondence relating to staff, such as contracts, warnings, referral letters, letters to suppliers, UIF letters, resignation letters, etc. Answering the phone, taking messages & resolving issues relating to administration, staff, suppliers or landlords.
Monitoring and responding to emails, General filing, Running errands for the restaurants and owner. Sending out monthly rental invoices to tenants. Attending to repair work & insurance claims relating to the properties. Attending to insurance claims for the food outlets. Filling in for other persons working in administration when they are on leave. Any other ad hoc administrative duties that may arise that may be planned or unplanned.
Requirements: Grade 12 essential. Higher education in accounts administration advantageous. 5+ years’ relevant office and accounts administration experience. Computer literacy - Pastel, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook all essential. Knowledge of Wages, PAYE, UIF and Labour matters preferred .Must be willing to work half day every other Saturday
Driver’s licence essential. Own transport preferred. Preferably live in the Southern Suburbs.
