It has a mandate from the board of directors to be a global leader in port sustainability.
PMV is seeking a new Director, Environmental Programs, to provide leadership and direction for the environmental programs department in support of PMV’s efforts to lead the port industry in environmental innovation and sustainability. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, you will develop, direct, implement, and maintain environmental policies, programs, and services in order to meet the requirements of PMV, its departments, and its board of directors. Broadly versed in a range of environmental issues, you will be responsible for establishing effective communications and working relationships with senior government, industry, public interest groups, and other stakeholders. You will ensure PMV’s standards are maintained while also identifying environmental strategies that capitalize on potential future growth of PMV. This is a full time, permanent position with a base salary of $130,000 - $145,000 with bonus.
As the ideal candidate, you bring business/strategic experience at a senior management level in the environmental field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Experience successfully managing dynamic and complex program portfolios under pressure will be key. A superior leader, you will provide overall direction for the environmental programs department with values of honesty and integrity. You are a strong communicator, strategic thinker, in addition to being a highly analytical, dynamic, and creative thinker.
