Nambucca Heads Bowling Club, located on the stunning Mid North Coast, just 50km south of Coffs Harbour, is seeking an experienced and passionate contract caterer to manage and grow its catering operations. With a membership base of 2,000 and a thriving tourist trade, particularly during the summer months, this is an outstanding opportunity for the right operator.
About the Club’s Catering Facilities: Bistro with flexible hours: Wednesday to Sunday minimum, with the option to open 7 days. 80-seat bistro, with an outdoor verandah dining area.
Newly refurbished function spaces: auditorium seating up to 150 guests. Function room seating 80 comfortably. Major bowls carnivals (up to 5 per year) bring additional trade. Refurbished kitchen with new gas burners.
Club amenities: 37 gaming machines, TAB, KENO, and Foxtel Sports on giant screens. New children’s playground. Two synthetic bowling greens. Future development plans are in place.
What We’re Looking For: The successful applicant will offer modern Australian cuisine, including children’s meals, and may incorporate Chinese or Asian-inspired dishes. We seek a caterer who:
Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Can provide well-trained, professional FOH and BOH staff. Understands all food safety, OH&S, payroll, and club compliance regulations. Is passionate about fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service. Can manage function catering and expand the club’s function trade. Has a strong understanding of profitability and return business. Is highly creative with menu development, catering to diverse tastes and budgets. Can work closely with club management and the board to market and promote the dining experience. Holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Food Act 2003). Maintains impeccable cleanliness standards for FOH and BOH.
Contract Terms and Benefits: An attractive rent-free period, with agreed options after. Club covers gas and electricity costs. Club pays for all plant and equipment repairs and maintenance. Preferred contract period of 12 months, with potential for extension. Optional residential house is available to rent: A 3-bedroom dwelling on Club grounds is available for the successful applicant.
