Are you passionate about craftsmanship and working with your hands? JW Polishing, a leader in modern and antique furniture restoration and polishing, is looking for a motivated Apprentice Polisher to join our skilled team.

What You’ll Learn: Select appropriate materials for finishing furniture. Remove old finishes and prepare furniture to receive finishes. Apply lacquer, polyurethane, oil and water-based finishes. Perform traditional French polishing and explore heritage skills. Repair or restore timber and composite components in furniture. Apply decorative finishes and colour matching to sample.

No experience? No problem. This is a hands-on apprenticeship. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to develop your skills and grow within the trade.

What We’re Looking For: A keen interest in woodworking, furniture restoration, or craftsmanship. Someone eager to learn and take pride in quality work. Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics. Able to assist with pick up and deliveries of furniture.
