What you do: The mechanical and piping engineer is responsible for the mechanical and piping engineering development, including engineering design, field engineering, construction support, commissioning support, risk/opportunity registers, and tender packages.

Roles and responsibilities: In addition to design accountabilities, the mechanical and piping engineer will also be responsible for project activities and assistance, including the following: Undertaking mechanical and piping design and planning for project delivery. Undertaking and supervision of site engineering, construction, and commissioning activities on site regularly. Assisting in piping design upskilling of engineering and drafting team members. Assisting in the engagement and management of subcontractors, Assisting with the development of schedules and forecasts, Assisting with financial reporting and management of the project, Oversight of daily record keeping, data collection and analysis, and Development of cost estimates for variations.

Must Haves? Mechanical Engineering degree. 2-5 years' experience engineering experience.

Nice to Haves? 2+ years of piping engineering experience. Experience in a process plant environment would be highly beneficial and desirable.

Important Note: This role will be based in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane office, but will be required to visit site to work 2 weeks (12 consecutive days) each 2 months (2 days credit to annual leave will be applied for these visits). Business travel expenses relating to site visits will be reimbursed.
