The Opportunity: I am keen on retaining a business analyst to develop a compelling investment pack for marketing automation and process improvement initiatives identified in a recent consulting engagement for my client. The role involves measuring potential benefits, cost savings, and ROI while aligning recommendations with the broader transformation mandate. You will work closely with the Business Improvement BA to refine insights and translate them into a structured business case ready for executive decision-making. This is a Melbourne-based contract role, initially set for a six-month term with a high likelihood of one or several extensions.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Research & Data Gathering: Collect insights from market research, industry reports, internal data, and stakeholder interviews to understand the business context and identify opportunities.
Data Analysis & Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data to assess market trends, competitive positioning, and financial performance, ensuring objective, fact-based decision-making.
Financial Modelling & ROI Evaluation: Develop financial models to quantify costs, benefits, and return on investment (ROI) using structured methodologies.
Business Case Development: Structure and write well-supported business cases that outline the problem statement, solutions, benefits, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions, refine recommendations, and gain alignment on initiatives.
Presentation & Communication: Develop compelling presentations to communicate key findings with clarity and impact for decision-makers.
Decision Support: Present recommendations with confidence, address stakeholder queries, and provide additional analysis throughout the approval process.
Desired Skills & Experience: Strong experience in developing business cases for strategic initiatives. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights. Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and relevant tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decision-making. Advanced presentation skills (software and technique) to create visually impactful and persuasive presentations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
