The role encompasses the delivery of both outcome focused group and individual programs. Work in a rewarding team environment alongside medical and allied health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, art therapists, nurses and exercise physiologists.

The position includes an option of complementing hospital work with some hours as a contractor in the hospital's private practice which includes a generous 80/20 fee split, full admin support and ability to set your own fee and choose your referrals.

Located in the Wollongong CBD in close proximity to Wollongong train station, South Coast Private is a 90 bed, non-acute, Mental Health Facility offering a range of inpatient and day patient health services. Key Responsibilities: Deliver a variety of CBT, DBT and ACT based group programs, harnessing group psychotherapy principles and teaching actionable skills. Provide individual assessment and therapy for a range of mental health conditions. Deliver trauma focused treatment including EMDR, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Build experience working with first responder populations including emergency and defence personnel. Lead a key role within a multidisciplinary team including allied health, nursing and psychiatry. Participate in innovative quality improvement activities and clinical research projects. Utilise verbal and written communication skills.

Selection Criteria: Current AHPRA registration. Demonstrated experience delivering mental health group and individual therapy. Demonstrated experience in working within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A commitment to quality improvement and strong focus on patient care.
