We have an exciting, career opportunity for a Neuropsychologist to join our health care family in Kamloops, BC!
The primary focus of this position is neuropsychological assessment and recommendation for discharge, in addition to attending weekly triage meetings for new referrals, patient rounds, and education rounds. Is assigned to the clinical practice area of Tertiary. Mental Health working with adults and elderly persons with psychiatric disorders. This position will also provide services as part of the BC Neuropsychiatry Program (BCNP) for persons with major neurological issues and co-morbid psychiatric issues. An additional assigned tertiary area includes a psychosocial rehabilitation program for adults with a primary psychiatric disorder. Services are also provided to an outpatient Neurorehabiliation program, often regarding return to work questions after a brain injury. Two outreach clinics are held each year in the Kootenays (one week to Trail and one week to Cranbrook) to provide assessments to patients that are also part to the Tertiary Mental Health system. This position offers versatility in the role and very rewarding work. We are seeking: • Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent from a university or school recognized by the College of Psychologists of British Columbia, with an approved pre-doctoral internship in neuropsychology.
•  Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (or eligible for registration).
•  Five years recent related experience in neuropsychology in the assigned clinical practice area (i.e. Tertiary Mental Health).
