Payroll Officer, Hotel Finance Partners. Brisbane QLD. Payroll (Accounting). Part time. $75,000–$85,000 per year.

About Us: Hotel Finance Partners is a growing accounting & finance service provider specializing in the hospitality sector. Based in Brisbane, our dedicated team delivers exceptional services to a variety of hospitality businesses located across Australia. We are expanding and are now looking for a skilled payroll officer to join our team on a part-time basis, 3 days per week from Monday to Wednesday.

Key responsibilities: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple hospitality clients, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian payroll legislation. Process employee payroll data, including salaries, wages, bonuses, leave, superannuation, and allowances. Ensure all payroll transactions are accurate, timely, and meet legislative requirements, including modern awards and enterprise agreements. Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner. Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports, tax filings, and other statutory obligations. Maintain payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws. Provide ongoing support to clients by advising on payroll-related issues, including leave entitlements and tax matters. Continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Requirements: Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, and in particular the Hospitality Industry General Award and the Restaurant & Catering Award. Experience with payroll software (e.g., Xero, Employment Hero HR & Payroll, Keypay, Roubler, Tanda, Deputy). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work mostly from home independently and as part of a collaborative team with the directors and hotel accountants. Previous experience working with hospitality businesses is a strong advantage.
