Community Worker, STRIVE Support Services. Location Kelowna, BC. Salary: 25.00 hourly / 35 hours per week. Full time. Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning. Start date: 2024-10-01

Languages English. Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Experience 1 to less than 7 months. Work setting. Group home. Work in the employer's/client's home. Various locations.

Responsibilities: Prepare reports or case histories. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Plan rehabilitation programs with offenders. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Conduct follow-up assessments. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Implement substance abuse treatment programs. Implement behaviour management programs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Aid in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Credentials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses. Mandt System training. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate.
