RN/M1: Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 1: $72,651 to $99,129 pro rata

ENC1: Enrolled Nurse (Certificate) LV 1: $62,128 to $69,935 pro rata

END1: Enrolled Nurse (Diploma) LV 1: $64,503 to $72,651 pro rata

Overview: The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state-of-the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions, as well as being South Australia’s largest maternity and obstetric service and statewide Maternal Fetal Medicine service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services. The Division of Surgical Services coordinates and manages support to the surgical departments and units of the WCH. The hospital is the main referral centre for complex paediatric surgical conditions for South Australia, the Northern Territory and some regional centres in Eastern Victoria and Eastern New South Wales and supports a clinical and basic science research and teaching program.

The Anaesthesia and Recovery nursing staff provide expert nursing care before, during and after surgery and anesthesia for women and children at the WCH. Join our team and contribute to providing South Australia’s women, babies, children and young people with the best health care, either within our hospital or via our many and varied community services and programs.

The Opportunity: Multiple exciting opportunities exist within the Recovery and Anaesthetics team to join us as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.

Registered Nurse: The Registered Nurse provides nursing services in primary health, secondary, tertiary or quaternary service settings. Employees working at this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice.

Role Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement and co-ordinate care/appropriate service delivery options aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Participate in professional development and learning opportunities. Review the assessment and decisions of Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and students. Provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve health outcomes, where applicable.

Enrolled Nurse: The Enrolled Nurse supports the registered Nurse/Midwife in the provision of person-centered care consistent with the regulatory and statutory requirements. Practice at this level is from the novice to proficient Enrolled Nurse Practice.

Role Responsibilities: Implement the appropriate service delivery options under the supervision of a registered nurse. Work collaboratively with consumers and Registered nurses/Midwives in the development of individual care/treatment plans.
