Salary: From $139,787 to $161,662 per annum, Grade 11-12 (excluding superannuation and leave loading).

About the NSW Crime Commission: The NSW Crime Commission’s purpose is to disrupt, reduce and prevent the incidence of organised and other serious crime in New South Wales. The Commission is structured into several divisions, support teams and specialist units.
The function of conducting criminal and financial investigations is assigned to the Commission’s Operations Division. Investigations are typically conducted pursuant to a Management Committee reference to investigate or approval to work in cooperation with a joint task force comprising one or more of the Commission’s partner agencies. The Operations Division is also responsible for the Commission’s Strategic Intelligence capability, the provision of specialist investigative support services and of advice and recommendations to Government in relation to minimising the impact of serious and organised crime on the NSW community.
About the role: The Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading, managing, overseeing, and coordinating the strategic and operational aspects of concurrent criminal and financial investigations, intelligence or collections projects. To this end, the Intelligence Manager will champion high-level analysis and exceptional relationship management in accordance Commission references, policies and procedures. The role manages and drives complex, difficult and sensitive assignments and leads, manages, and guides an intelligence team comprised of specialist staff.
The Intelligence Manager provides high-level strategic, tactical, and operational advice to maximise investigative, intelligence or collections objectives and support the Operations Division’s Executive team. The role also represents the Commission in appropriate forums and dealings with other agencies. The Intelligence Manager may be assigned to lead any of the Operations Division teams and may, from time to time, be assigned to different teams.
Essential Requirements: Extensive experience in managing intelligence-led investigations.
Degree qualifications and / or relevant experience in law enforcement, national security, intelligence, government investigations, criminology, law or another relevant discipline. Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills, including the demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience and ability to lead, manage, coach, guide, mentor and motivate individuals and teams in a specialised, complex working environment. High-level integrity, ethics, judgement, and an ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.
