Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and reliable pharmacy assistant/dispense technician to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy and involves a variety of tasks, including customer service, medication dispensing, inventory management, and front shop responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their inquiries and providing information about products and services. Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and debit payments. Offer recommendations on over-the-counter medications, health products, and personal care items, ensuring customers receive appropriate guidance.

Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with pharmacist instructions, including verifying prescription details and dosage. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards for medication dispensing. Manage prescription refills and assist with medication synchronisation to streamline customer service.

Front Shop Duties: Maintain an organized and clean front shop area, ensuring that products are neatly displayed and easily accessible to customers. Assist with stocking shelves, managing product displays, and setting up promotional materials to enhance the customer shopping experience. Handle product returns and exchanges in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and receiving inventory to ensure adequate supply and minimize stockouts. Conduct regular inventory checks, including verifying expiration dates and rotating stock to ensure product freshness and compliance. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to manage inventory discrepancies and address stock-related issues.

Administrative Support: Manage patient records and process prescriptions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Provide support with various office duties, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining pharmacy records.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and other team members to ensure seamless pharmacy operations and exceptional customer service. Support new team members through training and mentoring, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, dispensing Technician, or in a similar retail or healthcare role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of medications, pharmacy operations, and healthcare products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and basic computer applications.
