Job description: System Administrator. Location - Parramatta (2-days per week)/Hybrid. Employment type - Full-time/Ongoing. Salary - Grade 7/8 ($106,025 - $117,363 + super and annual leave loading).

Your role: The System Administrator (Case Management System) has a strong understanding of applications built on platforms and technologies such as middleware (JBOSS, Tomcat, Java) implemented on AWS cloud. A solid knowledge of Oracle databases, including running SQL queries, is essential.

The System Administrator provides functional, technical, and system administration support to users across multiple locations, platforms, and technologies. This role will guide Technical Support Officers activities responsible for the operational maintenance of the organisation's ICT environment. This role spans across multiple technology streams, including Servers, Storage, Backup and Recovery, Field Services, Application Packaging, and Application Support.

What you'll do: You will work closely with CTSD staff across many business and IDS technical teams. A dedicated customer service orientation and an excellent service delivery focus are critical for success in this role.

Other responsibilities may include: Promoting and ensuring the implementation of industry best practices by utilising available tools and reference materials to drive efficiency and consistency within the team. Assisting the Team Lead in managing activities for large-scale or complex deployments and changes to the Case Management System application, while complying with operational requirements for service delivery.

Reporting on system performance to guide business decisions regarding necessary upgrades or decisions that will reduce issues and/or eliminate adverse impacts on service delivery.

Developing, reviewing, and maintaining support documentation to assist others in restoring services and reducing the impact of unplanned outages.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and strong organisational skills, demonstrate integrity, and respect, and possess an understanding of cultural diversity.

What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with the applicable technology platform, with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

This role may require participation in an on-call and/or after hours work roster to ensure service continuity to clients or maintenance activities outside normal business hours. A valid driver's license may be required to travel to and from the Data Centre and on-site client support. Appointments are subject to the following reference checks.
