The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity available for Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander peoples with an Identified Operations Officer role to join the EPA in our Operations division based in Parramatta. In this role, you will undertake diverse day-to-day tasks related to the application of Environment Protection Authority (EPA) legislative responsibilities in assigned regulatory areas involving major issues affecting the EPA, as well as activities in other regulatory functional areas as required by EPA operational priorities, contributing to the fulfilment of obligations and aims through the enhancement and preservation of the natural and cultural heritage values of the EPA.
About the Team: Operations is a dedicated team of environmental regulators who work to protect the environment and people from harm through the management of licensed premises and investigation of environmental incidents and complaints. You will assist the EPA to effectively engage with and improve its understanding of Aboriginal cultural values to strengthen its regulatory role to protect the environment.
If you are successful in the role, you will be working in a supportive, diverse, results-driven team that works across the Sydney Metro area on significant environmental protection matters. Our team have various backgrounds from a range of disciplines; you don’t need an environmental background!
