The SETS program aims to equip and empower humanitarian entrants, other eligible permanent migrants, and their communities to address their settlement needs.

It focuses on improving social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being, and community connectedness. This is a part-time role, 2 days per week.

What you’ll be doing: is supporting administrative activities required during a client intake service and gathering information for reporting purposes, maintaining confidentiality of client information and engaging in a respectful, culturally sensitive and professional manner. Follow precise instruction of the Senior Case Manager when navigating intra- and extranet systems and to assist with client work, form filling, timesheet entry, reporting, case noting, completing incident reports and referrals. Communicating processes and progress of administrative tasks to the Senior Case Manager and Team Leader. Assist the Senior Case Manager with case notes and data entry into Multicultural Australia’s internal client management systems (CSNet) as well as Government data management systems (DEX system), ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.

Assist the Senior Case Manager with facilitation of group work projects delivered in the regions, including administrative-related tasks such as logistics, registrations, surveys and reporting. Assist the Senior Case Manager to attend and report collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Utilize Microsoft Suite to optimize procedures, including interpreting, navigating and updating excel spreadsheets, for the purpose of ensuring reporting requirements are met. Provide quality administrative support to SETS Multicultural Australia team.

Organize, summarize and interpret event and resource content to create and manage a client newsletter. Attend professional development training pertaining to the role and in keeping with organizational values. Book Cultural Support Workers (CSW), office spaces and equipment through internal booking systems. What qualifications and skills do I need?

Qualifications, licenses and probity. Experience in an administration role, customer service role or similar role. Good computer literacy  Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and databases. Good written and verbal cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Ability to manage time effectively, with a mature attitude to working to deadlines with competing priorities. Demonstrated experience working with databases or information management systems with good accuracy and attention to detail. Skills in contributing to reports with the ability to retrieve and present data that is fit for specific reporting requirements. Working knowledge of information management systems and reporting protocols.

successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver’s license, police check and apply for a Working with Children Blue Card.
