Residential Counsellor - group home (Residential Care Workers)
Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, Weekend, Night, Evening
Salary: $14.00 Hourly for 16 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Saint John, New Brunswick (4 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Human Services Diploma
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Group home
Target Groups or Clients: Male, Persons with mental health disabilities
Specific Skills: Resolve conflict situations, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Implement behaviour management programs
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure
Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people
Essential Skills: Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
Other Information:Must be flexible with work hours and availability. Assistance with completion of case plan objectives. Must be able to work overnight shifts.
