Tenure-Track Position in Psychology
St. Mary's University College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective 1 July 2015, subject to final budgetary approval. Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching (a standard load is three courses per semester), student mentoring, institutional involvement, as well as the pursuit of scholarly work. Candidates with a background in Applied/Social Psychology are particularly sought. Applicants with an interest in cross-cultural research within their area of expertise are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will teach Introductory Psychology, the Psychology Senior Seminar (in rotation), as well as other courses within their particular field of expertise. Experience in teaching Statistics and Research Methods is strongly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to work co-operatively and productively with Faculty (both within Psychology and the University), staff and students; show evidence of excellence in teaching; demonstrate a commitment to scholarship and professional development; and participate actively in university service.
