Medical Secretary, the balance clinic. Camperdown, Sydney, NSW. Medical Administration (Healthcare & Medical). Full time. $70,000–$80,000 per year. We are looking for a Medical Secretary for our Balance Clinic located in Camperdown. You will work in a dynamic, collegial environment with auditors, Neurologists, Researchers and Engineers who assess, investigate and treat patients with acute vertigo.

The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, empathic and compassionate when dealing with clients and a team player. Exceptional skills in written and spoken english, at least two years’ experience in medical administrative work, expertise using microsoft word and Excel, and willingness to interact directly with patients and hospital staff on a regular basis are essential attributes.

Duties: Meeting and greeting patients. Booking and billing consultations. Retrieving medical records. Filing and faxing letters and results. Fielding patient phone-calls and emails.

The successful candidate will work with a team of doctors, scientists and secretaries who will all contribute to their training. Experience using Genie medical software is desirable.  This position is available with immediate effect and is likely to be held open for four weeks. There will be a six-month probationary period.
