Our Client: Our client is a global manufacturing leader who has a range of highly engineered products that service many heavy industries. With a main hub in Australia, they have a heavy link to global operations.

Role: Seeking an experienced applications engineer to assist the internal sales team and applications team with managing applications through inquiry, tender, award, and delivery. Review and understanding of client specs and project requirements, creating/modifying technical documentation, managing the tender budget, and careful management of all technical and planning aspects of a project are all key tasks for this role.

The role will require working with the Engineering and design departments to meet technical requirements for design purposes, create documents for submission to clients, provide technical support for other parts of the business and ensure that the designed/offered solution meets customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and understanding technical and commercial proposals prior to accepting an order. Reviewing, creating, and modifying technical documentation. Compiling a complex tender to achieve all requirements of a clients application. Utilizing project management tools to track a projects progress and budget.

Skills Required: Degree qualified in Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering (or similar). 2 + years’ experience within an applications engineering position. Product datasheet understanding. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability communicate with different stakeholders. Technical drawing understanding.
