About the role The position of Care Support Worker is part of an integrated team. We are looking for applicants to join an existing team at the Port Augusta Calvary Cottage.
Key Responsibilities: Client engagement at the Calvary Cottage via Day program. Supporting a range of clients including those living with dementia. Day shifts with some overnights and weekend work possible. Meal preparation, Cottage cleaning and client transport. Promote Client Choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the client as per Calvary home Care's Service Delivery Model. Ability to work shifts in set time blocks/pattern rostering. Ability to drive client/company vehicles. Proactive in supporting clients to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community. Report changes in client's health, care plans or if additional services are needed. Review regularly communications received via email, support Worker Connect and other communication methods to ensure current knowledge of policies, procedures and activities across Calvary.
Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of others within the workplace. Protect the rights and confidentiality of clients by ensuring the care provided maintains client dignity and privacy.
About you Completed Certificate III in Individualized Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent. Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR. Current full drivers licence. Reliable motor vehicle (including valid registration & full comprehensive third party insurance). Smart mobile phone or device. NDIS Clearance (Highly desirable or willingness to obtain one). Police Check within the last 6months (or willingness to obtain one). Access to the internet and experience using a computer, systems and applications. Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself. A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organization.
