Junior Laboratory Analyst, Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands. Company Name: Marcels. Position: Junior Laboratory Analyst. Location: Stellenbosch. Reporting to: Technical Manager. Salary Offer: Negotiable, based on formal qualifications and experience. We are recruiting for an experienced and successful individual to join our goal-orientated team.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Work according to the ISO 17025 quality management system. Maintain a clean laboratory. Clean laboratory glassware. Perform verifications and maintenance on laboratory equipment. Check stock levels and receive stock. Prepare media and reagents. Conduct microbiological analysis. Analyse and capture results. Assist in maintaining management and technical documents. Oversee the laboratory while the manager is not present.

Minimum Requirements: Microbiology Degree/National Diploma/B-Tech or equivalent thereof. Experience in a laboratory. Experience or understanding of ISO 17025 quality management system. Understanding of microbiology, particularly food microbiology. Understanding of different food products and regulations. Good communication skills. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays. Own transport is required for overtime.
