Of Tasks / Key Performance Areas: Understand the projects, programs and different building methods within the company and their respective requirements. Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents. Identifies labour, material and time requirements by studying the proposals, drawings, specifications and related documentation. Assist with the preparation of tender and contract documents, formulating / complete BOQs, rate build-ups, variation orders & quotations. Undertaking cost analysis for the required project work; Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility. Gathering first-hand information from sites, warehouses etc.

Setting priorities: Perform risk analysis along with the tender committee. Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. Create and submit estimate reports or tenders to the appropriate manager/s, clients etc. Provide consultation on planning (E.g. Manpower, schedules etc.) Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data. Maintains technical knowledge. Must be able to determine to overall cost of a new construction project using above mentioned qualities. Create a list of materials with all needed materials with an estimated amount to complete the project. Maintains quality service by following the organisation’s standards.
