Therapeutic Diet Cook
Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time leading Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $18.34 to $21.26 Hourly for 7.5 hours per week, As per collective agreement, Pension Plan Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cook Trade Certification, Food Safe Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Nursing home or other health institution
Types of Meals/Food Prepared: Therapeutic diets
Specific Skills: Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Work with minimal supervision, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.), Clean kitchen and work areas, Wash dishes
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
