Introduction: An upmarket, extremely busy restaurant in Sandton is looking for an experienced, well presented hostess to join their team as soon as possible. The restaurant requires a Senior Hostess that can provide excellent customer service.

Description: Playing the role of lead hostess which involves organizing wait times, deciding other hostess duties and telling them where to seat customers. Maintain waiting list, reservations and seating chart for entire restaurant throughout service. Continuous communicate with managers, waiters, hostesses & customers to ensure an outstanding experience.

Greet & seat customers: Waitlist management – inform customers of wait time, seat customers in waiting area, call customers when their table is ready. Thank customers for their patronage. Effective management of reservations. Answer telephone and provide appropriate service. Stand/walk and stay focused for long periods of time.

Requirements: At least two years previous experience as a hostess at a restaurant, Strong organizational skills with ability to monitor seating areas. Computer literate, Ability to effectively communicate on telephone and via email, Able to work hospitality hours, Well groomed, articulate, polite, friendly & energetic.

Salary - TBD. Will depend on skill & experience.
