Procurement Manager -Group National Buyer, Brits, North West. Company Name: Vivid Staffing Solutions. Britz – North West. A National Manufacturing Company is seeking the service of a Group National Buyer (Permanent Position).
Salary Package: Market Related Remuneration. Retirement annuity. 13th Cheque.
Job Summary: To Manage and execute all buying of all goods for the Group. Purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering the price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. Manage and control purchases and sales for the Rototank ONE STOP Accessories Shops.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include: Developing an effective and accurate System / Procurement plan for the company where we are buying all goods as cost-effective as possible. Develop and maintain a buying database. Managing ALL National Purchases / Purchase Orders for the Group. Teamwork with Regional Sales Managers on Turnover of the ONE STOP Accessories Shops. Obtain and approve all quotations for the company. Travel to all branches and have meetings with Branch Managers and Regional Sales Managers regularly. Sign off on all payments for the Group.
Source new and unique products for the shops and negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers to get the product with the best price and ensure cost reduction for the company. Source, locate and visit Suppliers. Monitor all stock levels and dead stock at the shops and transfer stock between shops to ensure continuous sales for the Group. Company Inventory Control. Act as an interface between suppliers and company staff on purchasing products and activities. Negotiate any settlement discounts with suppliers for all accounts. Working close together with Accountant and Reporting to Financial Manager. Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report back ordered or missing products. Effectively communicating with the team to ensure all orders are accurate. Monitoring continuous compliance with Procurement Policy.
Recommended Education: Matric. Relevant Degree / Diploma ( Buying/Purchasing). Extensive previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within a manufacturing environment. Substantial technical experience in the following fields: Water and Plumbing, Boreholes, Solar pumps, and Irrigation. Knowledge of the different ranges of parts, fittings and sizes, pumps, materials, etc. Good knowledge of purchasing, obtaining quotes, negotiation, and cost breakdown. Experience in working closely with suppliers.
Experience: At least 5 Years of Management experience. 10+ years of Procurement experience. Computer experience MS Office (Advanced Excel), Outlook. Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written) and negotiating skills. Excellent understanding of procurement procedures and software platforms. Excellent attention to detail. Valid Driver’s License. South African Citizen. Skills and Attributes. Strong Interpersonal Skills to work with team members, customers, and suppliers.
