Networking Technician, City Centre, Cape Town. Company Name: Connected Space. We are a small Networking Company looking for an energetic person to join our Networking support team. Responsibilities will include the following. Assisting clients with any networking issues (telepathically, Whatsapp and e-mail). Logging job cards and managing tickets. Providing remote assistance to technicians on the field. The ideal candidate is someone who can think on their feet and a team player.

Requirements: Solid understanding of TCP/IP Solid understanding of networking troubleshooting procedures (ping, DNS resolution, traceroute, etc). Understanding of L2 networking (VLANs). Understanding of routed networks (OSPF). CCNA Minimum (will be considered if studying towards it). Any experience in the following will be advantageous to the candidate but not a requirement. Linux (CentOS or Ubuntu). Network Management systems (Observium/LibreNSM, NetXMS, PRTG, MRTG). Working with a wireless point-to-point systems (Mikrotik, UBNT, Mimosa, Cambium) Experience with Mikrotik, as a routing platform, is a requirement.
