Commercial Construction Painter (for interior and exterior painting)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $11.00 to $17.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Collingwood and Area, Ontario (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, WHMIS Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Major Work Area: Construction (new), Repainting, Maintenance, Renovation
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential
Area of Coating/Application Specialization: Multi-color finishes, Urethanes
Surface Preparation Experience: Drywall taping/patching
Type of Equipment Experience: Brush painting, Roller painting, Airless spray equipment
Wood Finishing Specializations: Staining
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, Repair cracks and holes
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence
