Position Summary:
Implements national fundraising, health promotion, and awareness programs at the direction of the Director of Regional Business Development, Eastern Canada.
Creates regional and community fundraising, health promotion, and awareness opportunities for the Canadian Liver Foundation through the development and implementation of a variety of activities.
Plays lead role in volunteer recruitment training and recognition with an emphasis on chapter board development and program/event specific volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Defines goals, objectives and measurable criteria for a regional plan with the Chapter Presidents and the Director of Regional Business Development, Eastern Canada. Ensures regional goals and objectives are aligned with those of National Office.
Develops business plans, budgets, and strategies that support goals and objectives, fund programs, and build positive awareness for the CLF in the Region.
Ensures that programs are designed and implemented in order to maximize fund raising opportunities.
Plans and delivers health promotion and fund development programs utilizing volunteer support wherever possible.
Targets program and geographical areas for chapter board development in consultation with the Director of Regional Business Development, Eastern Canada.
Develops strong community relationships/networks.
Sets up appropriate monitoring mechanisms to ensure continued success and effectiveness of programs adjusting or adding activities in order to meet annual revenue expectations.
Government, program and grant administration.
Advises and assists chapters in the creation and monitoring of budgets and co-ordination, implementation, and supervision of special events.
Ensure that chapters are adhering to Canadian Liver Foundation policies and standards, including financial and administrative processes.
Develops media connections that will help provide ongoing support and coverage of CLF activities in the regions.
Builds strong base of volunteers to assist in chapter development.
Supports community volunteers by ensuring they have all the training and resources necessary to complete their tasks.
Works with Director of Regional Business Development, Eastern Canada to ensure all volunteers receive appropriate recognition.
Recruits, trains and manages support staff (when and where applicable) and develops measurement tools to assess staff performance. Ensures staff have access to training and professional development opportunities.
Organizes regional conferences, Living with Liver Disease program and health promotion workshops in consultation with the Director of Regional Business Development, Eastern Canada.
Other duties as assigned.
