Financial Accountant, Somerset West, Helderberg. Company Name: GKN Financial Services. Accounting firm based in Somerset West requires the duties of a Financial Accountant on a full-time basis.

Duties and responsibilities: Preparation and submission of individual and corporate tax returns on SARS E-Filing. Preparation of audit working paper files using CaseWare. Independent Review, compilation and other assignments. Compilation of Annual Financial Statements in terms IFRS for SME’s. Accounting assignments. Management and maintenance of SARS E-Filing submissions.

Skills required: The candidate will be working in a professional environment and must be adaptable to a varied client base.

Attention to detail. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Sound knowledge of Pastel Accounting and CaseWare. Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure. Capable of functioning in a team but also work independently. Ability to manage priorities and time with a systematic approach. This position requires the candidate to work in a confidential environment with sensitive client information. Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner in both Afrikaans and English.

The potential candidate must have completed their SAICA traineeship at a small to medium sized firm. B-Comm/B-Compt degree or similar will be an advantage. Experience in a small business environment a must.
