Construction Manager – Electrical, Witbank, Mpumalanga. Company Name: Fullserve. The contracts manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The contracts manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. The Contracts Manager will take a lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing project. Will be accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources, and the success or failure of the project.

Brief Project Details: Installation and refurbishment of electrical cables and equipment at various power stations in Mpumalanga for the next three years.

Full function initiation to completion including Attend client meetings and assisting with the determination of project requirements. Prepare project organization and communication charts. Chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members. Manage, and track progress and quality of work being performed by the execution teams. Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.

Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team. Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log. Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database.

Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project closeout documents are obtained. Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others. Keep the Project Director (PD) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations. Manage project staff of more than 100 people. Plan and schedule projects and materials. Supervise work of artisans, ensuring quality and safety standards adhere to Extensive customer liaison/ commercial negotiation skills, and fully competent in contracts management.

Report writing and MS presentation, construction regulations, and environmental regulations. Experience and knowledge of quality management systems, ISO, and SABS. Experience in contract management.

Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Professional Registration (ECSA) will be added advantage. Project Management qualification will be an advantage. 5-8 years of experience. Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products. Knowledge of the electrical industry (Experience in managing projects Eskom-related projects will be an advantage).

Ability to manage multiple construction sites. Effective communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation s. Valid Driver’s License. Own Car. Location: Mpumalanga Province.
