Bookkeeper Wanted, Durban North, North Suburbs, Company Name: M Parent. M Parent, a holding company with subsidiaries in the ICT, Security, Logistics and Property Sector is looking for a bookkeeper to do books up to trial balance for its subsidiaries (5 in total - transaction volume however, is low to medium).

We are looking for an energetic, diligent and ambitious individual with sound accounting knowledge. You will be reporting to the CFO and have access to an admin clerk to assist you with your duties.

Your duties will include: Raising customer invoices. Processing supplier invoices. Ensuring invoices are paid as and when they become due. Processing various cashbooks.

Reconciliations: bank, debtors and creditors. Drafting journal entries: monthly and annually.

Filing Tax returns: VAT, PAYE and Income Tax. Actively Managing compliance: Income Tax, UIF, CIPC and COIDA. Assisting with drafting reports: management accounts and other ad hoc reports. Assisting with bid documents.

We are looking for these qualifications, competencies and attributes: At least a diploma in accounting or closely related field. At least 3 years experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role. Experience with an accounting package - we use Quickbooks but any will do. MS Excel proficiency.

A solid understanding of accounting principles. A Tax understanding: VAT, PAYE and corporate income tax. Ability to navigate the sarsefiling platform and file returns. Ability to communicate clearly and assertively - chase up/follow up on people unapologetically. Ambition - we are a growing group, we'd like to grow with you.
