WHAT TO DO: Source trending and breaking local and international news for 4 writers daily (Monday to Friday). Identify and assign special format articles such as interviews and features. Create a content strategy and stick to it. Be responsible for the desk’s discipline, page views, make sure KPIs are met, check writers’ work quality and ensure the news is covered fast. Write 5 articles a day (a mix of original, exclusive, and re-written / aggregated news). Source multi-media to accompany your own articles. Source images to accompany your own articles using our tools. Publish your own articles on the CMS. Post your own articles on Facebook.

REQUIREMENTS: A qualification in journalism and previous writing experience; Good communication skills; Natural leadership skills; Independence and dedication as this is a home-based position; Expertise in local & global entertainment and celebrity news affairs; Contacts within the local entertainment industry would be an advantage; Ability to identify story angles and ideas; A good laptop/PC (at least intel 3); Good, stable and reliable internet connection (uncapped, with a line speed of at least 4MBps). Cellphone data is not acceptable.
