Business Analyst – Retail, City Centre, Cape Town. International  FMCG Retailer with HO in Cape Town is seeking to employ an experienced Business Analyst to join their ever growing team.

Responsible for working with various Sales and Operations departments with a specific focus on key accounts and field sales teams. The individual will assist with day-to-day queries, providing support as well as producing information to enable management to make key decisions, including elements of the month-end process

Assist in formulation and review of monthly sales forecasts by brand and by customer in collaboration with key accounts and supply chain. Support the business operation manager with budget and forecasting processes, month end reporting, ad-hoc reporting requirements and companywide projects. Develop promotional ROI methodology and measurement of promotional success. Use sales and related data to drive planning, tracking and performance assessment of all season and promotion. Co-lead forecasting, planning and monitoring of NPD and exclusive products performance. Be a key driver for efficiencies with key accounts team on billing queries and verification.

Analyze and recommend promo mechanics across brands to improve efficiency and uptake. Assist Head of Key Accounts and the larger team by analyzing effectiveness and efficiency of Wholesale environment. Serve as an expert of internal business intelligence warehouse (IBM Cognos) and external scanned sales data (customer portal and IRI databases).

Lead a value-assessment of implementing a more complete database solution (e.g. SQL-based, Power BI, etc.) and later lead the implementation and change management, if applicable.

Qualifications and Experience Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Degrees in Finance, Statistics and Economics considered to be an advantage. Salary - Competitive package.
