Psychologist - Cape Town, Psychologist – Newlands & Goodwood. Our client in the healthcare industry is looking to employ a Psychologist at their facilities in Newlands and Goodwood in Cape Town. The candidate will service both hospitals and should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the medical industry.

Requirements: Qualified Psychologist. Current and Valid HPCSA Registration. Malpractice Insurance. Minimum 5 years experience as a Clinical- or Counselling Psychologist in the medical industry. Knowledge of complex medical and neurological conditions – Advantageous.

Experience in a rehabilitation setting – Essential.

Job Expectation: Provide psychological interventions to patients and families in acute hospitals.  Assessment, treatment, support, and ongoing evaluation of patients on an out-patient basis. Liaising with a wide range of patients, families, and other professionals to plan and direct patient care during the rehabilitation process. On an in-patient basis; Follow up after discharge may be required. Accurate and concise report writing and ability to communicate, within a team approach, all relevant information to ensure the continuation of care. To be a source of expertise and advice for all staff. Available to work on a weekend/public holiday/after hours on rotation.
