Job Description
The City of Tacoma Public Works Department is looking for a Planning Engineer to join its dynamic Transportation Section.
This is an advanced position responsible for the City’s Transportation Planning Model and related transportation planning, and transportation operations duties.
The ideal candidate will have experience with travel demand models, forecasting, land use allocations, operational-level models, project management, multimodal level-of-service, concurrency requirements of the state Growth Management Act, and Transportation Improvement Programs. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a history of project work and technical experiences leading to progressive advancement.
