Senior Bookkeeper, Urgent Location: Morningside, Durban City, Job Type: Full-Time A small but progressive accounting practice based in Morningside, Durban has a vacancy for a Senior Bookkeeper. The role will include the following duties and responsibilities Management and guidance of junior staff members. Data-capturing of client financial information on various accounting and other software packages (primarily Pastel). On and off-site processing of clients accounting information (cashbooks, journals, VAT etc.)- Own Vehicle would be advantageous. Bank, creditors, debtors & other reconciliations. Processing monthly depreciation, accruals and other journals. Monitoring client inventory and fixed assets registers. Compilation of VAT returns. Preparation of audit files. Submissions of various documents to SARS and other bodies. Liaising with clients, SARS and various other bodies. General administration. Filing. Other related reasonable tasks that will arise from time to time.

NON-Negotiable experience requirements for this position: A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience. Experience with managing junior staff. Full bookkeeping function i.e. Data capturing to final Trial Balance. Experience with the following computer programs: Pastel Partner/ Express. SARS E-filing.
