CAD & Design Engineer, Somerset West, Helderberg. Our client develops optoelectronic and mechanical systems for the classification and sorting of perishable products. Their client solutions include layout and design, sorting and grading systems and peripheral components. 

They are recruiting for a CAD & Design Engineer to be based at their offices in Somerset-West.

Responsibility Requirements: Design, Drafting, System Integrity, Lab and site integration of product systems, Mechanical manufacturing of product components, Commissioning and Training of product systems, Execution of projects and jobs.

 Working knowledge / Skills: Computer literacy and use of relevant s/w packages- i.e., Microsoft Office. Bilingual. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Must be able to support co – workers to obtain goals. Strong problems solving abilities (lateral thinking). Knowledge and application know-how of PC/cell-phone technology. Knowledge of and ability to implement DOS, Windows, and Linux. Ability to work with CAD to draw/design mechanical subsystems, electronic diagrams, and software diagrams.

Good verbal and writing communication skills. Knowledge of administrative systems and procedures. Good interpersonal skills. Teamwork skills. Ability to plan independently and schedule relevant work tasks.
