Description
Anton Kern Gallery seeks a self-motivated production intern with exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills. Preference will be given to those with prior gallery and/or creative production experience.
The internship is an opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced contemporary art gallery with a roster of 27 international artists.
The intern will work closely with the Project Manager and Gallery Manager, gaining insight into the production of specific projects/events, as well as the ongoing operation of a gallery.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Production assistant for fashion show, book launches, art fairs
- Assisting with exhibition openings and dinners
- Book sales and library management
- Assisting with PR, mailings
- General administrative and production assistance (contact management, shipping, research)
Ability to see tasks to completion and work independently is a must. A strong knowledge of MS Office, Mac OS and Photoshop is also required. Familiarity with ArtBase and various forms of digital and web-based media (photo, video, social media) a plus.
The position is available immediately. Compensation will be determined based on experience. The duration and weekly schedule is negotiable.
