Seeking Service Advisor Trainee, Salt River, Cape Town. Company Name: Autoworks.

We are looking for a junior professional to support the Service Advisors and Service Manager in the daily operation of the department. Note that this is a trainee role for individuals who want to learn and pursue a career in the automotive industry. The chosen candidate will receive training in all our departments to best prepare them for a Senior Service Advisor role.

A large part of the position involves: Making bookings for customer. Handling a busy switchboard. Preparing service quotes. Liaising with other branches regarding bookings made. Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner throughout the day. Providing exceptional customer service, including establishing customers onward travel arrangements, updating customers whilst their car is in our workshop, handing over vehicles after service work and maintaining ongoing relationships with your customers. Adopting a sales approach regarding upsell.

Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work. Flexibility and willingness to learn all aspects of the service industry and help any department needing assistance.

About our requirements: We expect you to demonstrate some skills that will prove beneficial in the position, including Qualification: Minimum of a Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Due to this being a trainee/junior role limited experience is needed. However should the applicant have experience in the motor industry and/or dealing with customers/providing a service it will be an advantage.

Needs to have well developed interpersonal skills, strong customer orientation and strong learning orientation. Ability to work to deadlines and targets. Strong teamwork skills. Confident and professional communication skills. Valid driver’s license.
