Accounts Payable (Temp: 6 Months), Edenvale, East Rand. Company Name: DPL Consulting. The position entails the handling of the full Accounts Payable function, Maintenance of General Ledger and General Ledger Recons, Inventory Control.

Responsibilities: Capturing of creditors invoices (local and foreign). Utilization of Syspro as the entity’s ERP system. Verification of supporting documentation. Correct application of credit terms. Performing Creditor's reconciliations and resolving queries with suppliers. Interaction with external auditors. Raising accruals where appropriate. Understand the impact of the cash flow and submitting relevant inputs for the preparation of the cash flow forecast. Ensuring the controls over creditors are appropriately applied and complied with. Maintenance of clearing/suspense accounts. Understanding the impact of foreign currency transactions and their correct accounting treatment.

Preparing payments on BOL. Project support, ad hoc and related activities which may be on-going depending on the needs of the finance department. Completing essential Balance Sheet Recons. Inventory Control from a financial perspective. Drawing reports, calculating variances, etc.

Requirements: More than 5 years of proven work experience as an Accounts Payable clerk with a related tertiary qualification advantageous but not required. Minimum Diploma in Accounting. Hands-on experience with Syspro Solid understanding of bookkeeping and Accounts Payable principles. Experience in a matrix reporting environment will be advantageous. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Efficient in relation to data entry. Customer service orientation. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal

Be a self-starter. Positive Attitude (Motivation, confidence and development orientation). Computer skills (MS Office, specifically intermediate to advanced MS Excel).
