Technical Test Analyst, City Centre, Cape Town. EE candidates. My client an established asset management company is looking for an EE/AA tester. They would like someone with drive, and strong technical and problem solving skills all the way from backend to frontend. You will play a critical role in the design of the software, and there will be many challenge along the way. Automation is a key part of what they do, so you must have a strong coding background.

Experience: You can program or are interested in learning to You can write SQL. You know where it is most effective for a test to “live” You speak the developers’ language. You understand the benefits of manual testing and the cost.

You have experience testing financial applications. You enjoy complicated numerical calculations. You will need to help solve complex testing issues. You will need to deal with a wide range of people often under severe stress. Qualification: Degree in Computer Science or IS Salary is market related.

Responsibility: Estimating effort for test tasks. Defining the test approach for each sprint. Extracting test requirements. Designing and creating test cases. Manual front- end functional testing of applications including system, integration, regressing and end to end testing as well as exploratory testing. Collaborate with developers. Manage and maintain the test environments and data. Implementing automated tests. Develop test tools. First line support. Play a central role in establishing best practices for testing in an agile environment. Product risk mitigation. Project risk mitigation. Final sign off of new releases.
