Hr Generalist - Fixed Term Contract
My client is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team on a 6 - 9 month contract basis with the possibility of longer term opportunities beyond the contract duration
Responsibilities:
* Provides high quality coaching and advisory services to employees and line managers in order to optimize the employee experience
* Coach and advise supervisors and career counselors to become more effective in handling people matters
* Participate in and/or lead People Programmes and Initiatives
* Serve as a primary connection between Human Resources and the employee
* Serve employees throughout the HR life cycle covering enabling execution of the following processes:
o Job Design (Job mapping)
o Transitions ( Post start of on boarding activities)
o Performance Management
o Recognition (non-monetary piece of the process)
o Discipline/Grievance
o Mobility
o Leave Management
o Absenteeism Management
o Exit Management
o Compensation
o Support mobile employees in host country on key processes like performance management and career development
o Enable delivery of Employee Engagement and People programs and activities
o Perform job role mapping for job design process
o Assist the compensation lead in delivery of the compensation process as and when required
+ Drive annual performance management "rate and compare" process
+ Support performance management activities at worksite as needed
+ Facilitate career planning and development process; coach and advise employees on creation of Career Development Plan; coach and advise career counselor and supervisors to manage career development
+ Assist in the implementation of the competency assessment practice as required
+ Handle employee discipline and grievances and consult with ER/LR Lead as appropriate (review grievance case details, check policy, establish course of action and discuss approach with employee, facilitate informal resolution)
+ Manage absences and return to work, monitor individual and group absence and reduce absenteeism
+ Manage individual departures Determine severance package and additional support. Provide case details/ business case to approving parties. Prepare preliminary termination documents. Communicate decision and facilitate resolution of departure.
+ Manage group departures Prepare preliminary termination documents for termination meeting. Communicate decision and facilitate resolution of departure.
+ Share best practices across people advisor teams
+ Effective collaboration with team in the delivery of People Advisor roles
+ Enable line managers to be effective people managers
Requirements
* A Bachelor degree with a focus in Human Resources Management or Business Management related discipline
* A Human Resources designation/certification preferred
* 2 - 4 years Human Resources generalist experience in a multinational
* Deep human resources service delivery experience
* Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
* Strong coaching and partnering capability combined with a demonstrated ability to influence
* Experience in building successful and productive working relationships
