SHEQ Coordinator, Johannesburg South, Johannesburg.

Job summary: Food manufacturing company (Bakery) situated in Johannesburg South, requires a Bakery. SHEQ co-ordinator with a formal Production, Quality or Food Science qualification, 1-2 years Bread Baking experience.

Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the running of the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality control, assurance and compliance of the bakery. It is imperative to manage all these key areas in accordance with ISO 45001 and FSSC 22000. The business is currently on a journey to implement these standards and foresee completing this project within in the next 6 months.

The SHEQ co-ordinator shall be responsible for the management of the implementation project, which includes but is not limited to: Safety, health, environmental and quality. Further responsibilities will include working with consultants, implementing systems, developing procedures and policies and managing training of staff. Lastly, the incumbent shall be responsible for continuous monitoring of the standards and various checks put in place, as well as working with auditors to close all outstanding queries.

Skills/Knowledge & Attitude: Firm understanding of the Bread. Baking Process and Ingredients. People orientated. SHEQ management & Auditing. Familiar with ISO 45001 and FSSC 22000. Sound understanding of production, food safety and health and safety.
