Senior Analyst – Assisted Reproductive Technology, Employment Type: Ongoing - Full Time, Role Classification: Grade 9/10. Remuneration: $108,044 - $119,061 pa (plus superannuation and annual leave loading). Hours per Week: 35 hours. Location: St Leonards. About this role: This role provides the opportunity to give specialist advice and develop, as well as support, the implementation of strategies and projects to improve health regulation and governance, patient safety and clinical quality outcomes for the NSW community and meet Ministry of Health objectives. Assisted Reproductive Technology in NSW is an important regulatory function. It requires a diligent approach to maintaining proper records of treatments, resulting in live births for those patients who have undergone ART treatment in the NSW ART Central Register in accordance with legislation.
Where you'll be working: The Regulation and Compliance Unit, Legal and Regulatory Services Branch is located within the NSW Ministry of Health and is responsible for the regulation of assisted reproductive technology. It is an exciting and challenging environment managing complex issues. The role of Senior Analyst – Assisted Reproductive Technology, is a specialist role that requires an agile inquiring mind and an ability to understand and apply legislation. High level communication skills are essential to assist support the understanding of ART providers and members of the community who seek information. The Ministry of Health will be moving to new premises at St Leonards in May 2019. The environment will have lots of natural light and you will be working alongside talented people from multiple disciplines in diverse portfolios.
What you'll be doing: You will provide advice and support to the Director, Regulation and Compliance on matters relating to the provision of ART services, and support the Legal and Regulatory Services executive as required. You will manage and or contribute to the development, review and evaluation of strategy and policy to address current and emerging legal and regulatory ART service issues. You will prepare high quality, accurate and timely written advice including reports, briefs, policy, guidelines and discussion papers to inform and take action in response to requests for information and or advice.
