Junior Accountant Required – Dubai, Prepare the invoice and accompanying payments apron to the relevant departments within EMC for review and approval
Ensure all invoices received by EMC are logged and stamped and payment log is updated and maintained
Maintain files of all approved payments vouchers. Maintain on-line and hard copy files of all third party engagement letters; relevant supplier arrangements. Distribute the invoice and accompanying payments apron to the relevant departments within EMC for review and approval; Ensure detailed record of status of all pending RFPs, supporting of payments etc.
Follow up with clients for collection of payment. Book all period end entries (prepayments accruals, etc) correctly. Check that all sub ledgers(AP, AR, fixed assets) agree with the respective GL control account. Ensure that all costs related to investment transactions are accounted promptly and properly.
Prepare monthly consolidated financials for EMC for senior Chartered Accounts review Book all accounting entries clearly accurately completely and on times. Book revenue and cost recognition entries accurately in line with IFRS (international Fin Reporting Standards) Liaise with HR and Admin for leave payments/expenses Maintain petty cash, make payments from the float, always maintain the petty cash float and reconcile cash in hand with books. Prepare cheques and bank transfer letters.
Qualification requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or commerce. Core working knowledge in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint – mandatory requirement. 1-3 Years experience as an Accountant preferably in a Financial institution specializing in payables/receivables and General ledger accounts. Fluency in English and Hindi.
