Production Manager - Branding Company – Olivedale, Location: Randburg, Johannesburg, Job Type: Full-Time. Production Manager – Olivedale/Randburg. This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of hands on apparel screen printing experience with in-depth knowledge of all areas of the screen-printing production process. Extensive knowledge and experience screen and Pad printing, heat press, press operation and print production are essential to be considered for this position.

Additional production management experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. This is not an entry level position and we will not consider candidates without strong previous screen-printing experience.

The Production Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day screen printing, heat press production duties and employees to achieve an increasingly high level of production output while maintaining the quality and creativity Offbeat Press is known for.

This is a full-time, salaried position with hours 7:30-5:30 (additional overtime and weekend work required as needed).

Responsibility: Screen& Pad Printing Production Manager. Facilitate weekly print schedules with all staff.  Manage employee’s individual production schedules and assign print jobs to ensure print deadlines are met. Manage and Update daily production schedules

 Employee Management: Manage print factory and pre-prep employees’ daily duties to achieve necessary balance of production and quality. Work with an assistant manager to maintain operations in your absence. Participate in the interview and disciplinary process of new/current employees. Perform training and maintain training guidelines. Participate in necessary trainings to increase job performance. Work with HR/office staff when employee issues arise

 Quality Control Manage + Maintain a high-level of overall quality, including pre-press print quality and quality of equipment. Maintain high standards of Quality including print detail, proper curing, design + color accuracy. Research + Development of new print techniques, products, equipment, suppliers, etc.

 Manage Supply Inventory + Ordering + Maintenance: Manage Equipment, Inks, Pre-press + Printing Supplies. Manage supplies and ordering for all s print supplies. Manage and perform scheduled maintenance on necessary equipment. Manage blank inventory.

Administration: Communicate with all sales staff on new orders. Pre-approve artwork for clients. Create poses for screen and pad printing. Control courier collections receiving and dispatch. Correspond to sales staff on the status of their orders. Oversee driver and driver collections and ensure listed orders arrive and then allocate. Consolidate bulk and retinal orders. Create Invoices, send and collect payment pre-production. Constant personal relationship building with clients and production staff.

Computer literacy a MUST: Coral Draw or Photo shop – will be advantageous. Cut studio or other cutting software – will be advantageous. Sage – will be advantageous. Excel.
